First deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs

Mr. Nuran Niyazaliev

         Born on 1 April 1975 in Kyrgyzstan. Graduated from the Kyrgyz State National University in 1998.

         He joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic in 1997.

Served in the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic to Austria, Hungary and Slovenia in 1999-2000, dealing with the United Nations and other International Organizations in Vienna. After service in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs he was appointed to the Permanent Mission of the Kyrgyz Republic to the United Nations in New York in 2001 as the Third Secretary, where he served till 2004. He was Deputy Director of the Department of International Organizations and Security of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic from 2004 till 2008.

He was responsible for membership of the Kyrgyz Republic in the United Nations, Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), as well as participation in programs of NATO. He dealt with the issues of international security, disarmament, non-proliferation, fight against international terrorism and drug trafficking, UN peacekeeping operations, sustainable development and election of the Kyrgyz Republic to several UN bodies and programs.

In 2008-2011 he served as Counsellor and Deputy Head of Mission in the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Islamabad. In 2011-2012 he worked in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs holding position of Deputy Director of the Department of International Organizations and Security. From 2012 till 2015 Mr. Nuran Niyazaliev worked as Deputy Permanent Representative of the Kyrgyz Republic to the United Nations in New York.

While in New York served as the Vice President of the Third Conference of States Parties and Signatories to Treaties that Establish Nuclear-Weapon-Free Zones, the Member of the Credentials Committee of the 2015 Review Conference of the Parties to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT), and was elected to the Credentials Committee of the Conference on Facilitating the Entry into Force of the Comprehensive Nuclear Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT).

On December 8, 2015 by the Decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic appointed as the first-ever Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic in the State of Qatar with residence in Doha. On March 3, 2016 presented his credentials to the Amir of the State of Qatar.

In June 2016 Ambassador Nuran Niyazaliev inaugurated the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the State of Qatar, Doha.

From February 2019 First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.
