On January 20, 2023 in Bishkek, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic H.E. Zheenbek Kulubaev held an annual meeting with members of the diplomatic corps accredited in the country.
The purpose of the meeting was to inform the ambassadors of foreign states and heads of representative offices of international organizations on the results of foreign policy activities in 2022 and to familiarize them with the main foreign policy tasks set by the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Mr.Sadyr Japarov.
In his message, Minister Zheenbek Kulubaev reminded the members of the diplomatic corps of the statement of the Head of State that the foreign policy of the Kyrgyz Republic remains consistent, predictable, pragmatic and will be aimed at promoting national interests within the framework of multilateral and bilateral diplomacy. This primarily concerns the issues of strengthening state security and defense capability, protecting sovereignty and territorial integrity, financial and economic stability, food and energy self-sufficiency. Along with this, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic called on embassies and international organizations to support the “green” initiatives of the Head of State, especially in the field of exchanging external debt for sustainable development projects.
At the end of the meeting, the Head of the Foreign Ministry thanked the ambassadors and heads of representative offices of international organizations for their joint work in strengthening bilateral political relations and developing multifaceted cooperation. Minister Zheenbek Kulubaev also congratulated foreign diplomats on the New Year 2023 and wished them success in their responsible post.
