On May 3, 2021, Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Turkey Kubanychbek Omuraliev met with the President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOВВ) Mr. Rifat Hisarciklioglu.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of joint projects and the exchange of experience in the development of legislation for organized industrial zones, production electric cars, solid waste processing, customs modernization, reforming the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kyrgyzstan, etc. In the near future, the President of TOBB R.Hisarciklioglu plans to visit Kyrgyzstan.
The parties also agreed on the participation of Turkish businessmen of TOBB at the Kyrgyz-Turkish Business Forum as part of the planned 10th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commissions of the two countries on Trade and Economic Cooperation (IGC), which will be held in July 2021 in the Issyk-Kul region.
For reference: The Union of Chambers of Commerce and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) is the largest non-governmental organization of Turkey, which does not pursue profit-making goals and represents the interests of the private sector in government bodies. In accordance with the national legislation of Turkey membership in chambers and stock exchanges of Turkey is mandatory.
Currently, TOBB members are 365 regional commercial, industrial, maritime chambers and commodity exchanges, which include more than 1.5 million Turkish companies.
