Global Bridge - the Central Asian Spring Festival was held on April 27-28, 2019 in the central square of the capital of the Republic of Korea. The event was organized by the Korea Foundation (Korea Foundation), the Secretariat of the Korea-Central Asia Cooperation Forum and the Seoul City Hall, with the active participation of the Central Asian diplomatic corps as well as the Kyrgyz diaspora in South Korea.

At the festival a young creative team “Nuska” group performed a concert program and have been playing popular compositions of the Kyrgyz people on national musical instruments (komuz, oz komuz, chopo choor). On the second day, there was a fashion show of traditional and modern clothes from Central Asia, on the framework that was presented the collection of the famous designer Zhumagul Sarieva “Chapan KG”.

The main decoration of the event was the Kyrgyz yurt, which was very popular among visitors. Visitors could taste the borsoks, cooked by the employees of the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan, tea from the samovar with honey, jam and sumolok.

The diaspora of Kyrgyzstan offered to try flat cakes, kebabs, samsa and plov, also try to measure strength in arm wrestling.

The event caused positive feedback from the residents of Seoul, who learned many interesting things about the people of Central Asia and, in particular, Kyrgyzstan.

Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic K. Asanov, who was in the Republic of Korea with a working visit, also visited the festival.

According to unofficial estimates, over 8,000 people visited the Kyrgyz yurt those days.
