On January 22, 2021, Permanent Representative of the Kyrgyz Republic to the UN Mirgul Moldoisaeva and Assistant Secretary General of the UN - Regional Director of the UN Development Program Mirjana Spolоaric Egger discussed the prospects for further cooperation. In particular, the parties discussed further steps to combat the coronavirus epidemic and its socio-economic consequences, cooperation in the field of environmental protection, and also discussed the current political processes in the Kyrgyz Republic.
Permanent Representative Mirgul Moldoisaeva informed about the holding of elections of the Head of State and referendum on the form of government in the Kyrgyz Republic positively noting the contribution of the UN Development Program in strengthening the electoral process in the country. Also Mirgul Moldoisaeva reported on future initiatives of the Kyrgyz party in the field of developing dialogue and cooperation on the conservation of biodiversity and solving environmental problems in general as well as initiatives in the field of ensuring social justice and decent working conditions. In particular she noted the event held in February 2021 on the occasion of the World Day of Social Justice on behalf of the Kyrgyz Republic and the International Labor Organization and invited Mirjana Spoljaric Egger to take part in it.
In her turn UN Assistant Secretary General Mirjana Spoljaric Egger positively noted the successes of the Kyrgyz Republic in promoting the interests of the mountainous UN member states and the principles of sustainable mountain development. At the same time Mirjana Spoljaric Egger highlighted the successful launch of the platform “Dialogue of Women Leaders of Central Asian States”. She also confirmed the readiness of the UN Development Program to support all initiatives of the Kyrgyz party.
