Regarding the third political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic and the State of Kuwait

On June 12, 2024, the third political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic and the State of Kuwait were held in Bishkek. The delegation of the Kyrgyz Republic was headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Avazbek Atakhanov, the Kuwaiti side - Assistant Minister - Director of the Asia Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait Sameeh Essa Johar Hayat.

During the consultations, the parties discussed the current state of bilateral relations in the political, trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, as well as the organization of mutual visits at the high and highest levels. The delegations exchanged views on the priorities for further mutual cooperation.

During the meeting, the parties were agreed to intensify trade, economic, and investment cooperation, as well as to expand the legal framework between the two countries. Deputy Minister Avazbek Atakhanov noted the importance of the joint implementation of the existing economic potential of the two countries and proposed to intensify close interaction between the parties within the framework of the Arab Coordination Group (ACG), as well as in the “Central Asia - Gulf Cooperation Council” format.

During the consultations, views were also exchanged on a number of topical issues on the international agenda. The parties noted their mutual interest in strengthening regional security and stability, and the relevance of joint efforts in countering new challenges and threats. The parties agreed to continue active interaction within international organizations, in particular at the UN, OIC and others to each other with mutual support.
