The Embassy spoke at a panel discussion on diversifying relations and integrating the Central Asian region into the global supply chain with involvement of American investments and expertise, held on February 23, 2021 in Washington,D.C. There was a thorough exchange of views on challenges and opportunities in the Kyrgyz Republic and other countries of the region for developing economic integration and active implicating into global economic links. In addition, the Embassy highlighted our investment, export, tourist opportunities and advantages, the efforts undertaken by the country’s leadership to ensure safe conduct of business, safe stay of foreign investors in the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as the ongoing reforms in the country to eliminate corruption risks through implementation of digitalization projects.
The event was attended by over 300 participants, including representatives of the US Department of State, the US Department of Commerce, the United States Agency for International Development, the United States Trade Representative, major American companies, international organizations and expert communities in the USA.
In conclusion, the meeting participants expressed interest and readiness in continuing the dialogue and further developing mutually beneficial economic cooperation.
