On July 28, 2021 Baktybek Amanbaev, Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the United States, met with Anjali Kaur, Deputy Assistant Administrator of the United States Agency for International Development.
During the meeting the U.S. side provided detailed information on what projects are currently underway in Kyrgyzstan.
Ambassador Amanbaev proposed to increase the effectiveness of aid to Kyrgyzstan and to establish a special working group with representatives of relevant ministries prior to the implementation of future projects to jointly identify areas for assistance. In his remarks, the ambassador also emphasized the need to pay special attention to the implementation of educational and economic projects when assisting Kyrgyzstan, and gave specific recommendations in these areas.
The American side supported proposals of Ambassador Amanbaev and proposed to discuss specific projects in the field of education at the next meeting.
