On November 20, 2019, a diplomatic reception was held in Kyiv, dedicated to the 28th anniversary of the independence of the Kyrgyz Republic.
          The event was attended by Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassadors, Heads of international organizations accredited in Ukraine, Deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, employees of ministries and departments of Ukraine, representatives of public organizations, intellectuals, business organizations, as well as citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic residing in Ukraine.
           Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Ukraine Zh. Sharipov in his solemn speech spoke about the history and formation of the Kyrgyz statehood, provided information on the domestic and foreign policies of Kyrgyzstan, important international events held this year in Kyrgyzstan, noted the progressive dynamics of mutually beneficial cooperation, and also the importance of development, existing bilateral relations.
            During the reception, guests were shown videos about the tourism and investment opportunities of Kyrgyzstan and have an opportunity to taste the Kyrgyz cuisine. 
            The event was covered by representatives of leading Ukrainian media.
