On the 27th of February, 2019 Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic in Ukraine Zh. Sharipov delivered a lecture for students of the Faculty of International Relations and Journalism on the history of the formation of Kyrgyz statehood and its diplomacy, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Ministry Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During the lecture, Ambassador Zh.Sharipov spoke about the history of the Kyrgyz people, features of Kyrgyz diplomacy in ancient and medieval periods, about the first diplomatic contacts of Kyrgyz, about the history of the Kyrgyz Republic during the Soviet and modern periods, about the foreign policy of the state and important events in the Kyrgyz Republic.
Ambassador Zh. Sharipov told the students about the Kyrgyz-Ukrainian relations, the most promising areas of cooperation and the tourism potential of the Kyrgyz Republic.
After the speech, the Ambassador answered to the questions of students and teachers.
At the end of the lecture, Ambassador Zh. Sharipov presented to N.Vaskiv - the professor, doctor of philological sciences, university lecturer and author of the translation of Ch.Aitmatov - a letter of thanks and a gift on behalf of the Embassy for his personal contribution to the perpetuation of the memory and celebration of the 90th anniversary of the great Kyrgyz writer.
Ambassador Zh. Sharipov thanked the Rector of Kiev University named after B. Grinchenko to Mr.V. Ognevyuk for organizing the lecture and presented the University with the author's work of M.Baidjiev “The Tale of Manas, Semetei and Seyteke” by the University translated into Ukrainian.
Following the meeting, the Sides agreed to develop cooperation in the field of education.
