The President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov signed a Decree according to which September 19, 2022 was declared a day of national mourning in the Kyrgyz Republic.

The armed conflict that took place on September 14-17, 2022 on the Kyrgyz-Tajik section of the State border in the Batken region resulted in the death of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Deeply grieving for the dead and expressing condolences to their families and friends, it is decided:

— declare September 19, 2022 a day of national mourning in the Kyrgyz Republic;

— on the day of national mourning throughout the country, as well as on the buildings of diplomatic and consular institutions abroad, lower the State flags of the Kyrgyz Republic to half-mast;

— recommend that cultural institutions and television and radio companies cancel entertainment events and programs on the day of national mourning.
