On January 23, 2019 in Islamabad the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan E.Beyshembiev met with the Secretary General of All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) Mr. Hamid Tufail Khan.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the development of Kyrgyz-Pakistani cooperation in the textile industry, in particular, the possibility of participation of Kyrgyz enterprises of light industry in the exhibitions of Pakistan.
Mr. Hamid Tufail Khan informed about the forthcoming 2-nd International textile sector specific Exhibition TEXPO-2019 which will be held on April 11-14, 2019 in Lahore with the theme of “Emerging Pakistan ”, and will become a platform for more than 400 different companies from around the world.
The Kyrgyz side expressed interest in participating in these events if the Pakistani side provides favorable conditions regarding logistics, technical support and residence of representatives of Kyrgyz companies.
The parties also discussed the issues of development of transport and logistics between Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan, as well as prospects for developing joint projects in this area.
In turn, Mr. Hamid Tufail Khan confirmed its readiness to assist in providing favorable conditions for participation in the TEXPO-2019 to the Kyrgyz companies, as well as to promote further mutually beneficial cooperation in the textile industry.
The meeting was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) is the premier trade association of the textile spinning, weaving, and composite mills representing the organized sector in Pakistan. APTMA emerges as the largest association of the country as it represents 396 textile mills out of which 315 are spinning, 44 weaving and 37 composite units.
