On May 12, 2022, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Ulanbek Totuiaev met with the Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Muhammad Mirza Afridi.
During the meeting, the parties, noting the significant role of inter-parliamentary cooperation in the overall development of bilateral relations, stressed the need to intensify contacts in this area. Parties agreed upon consolidating efforts in order to organize mutual visits in the near future at the level of speakers of the parliaments of Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan.
At the same time, certain aspects of the agenda of the Kyrgyz-Pakistani trade, economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian cooperation were discussed. In particular, the parties noted the importance of active work aimed at finding and promoting the most mutually beneficial and promising areas of trade and investment in order to intensify bilateral economic cooperation.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue joint work aimed at developing the entire spectrum of cooperation between the two countries.
