Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Zheenbek Kulubaev met with High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy / Vice-President of the European Commission Josep Borrell on November 15, 2022 in Brussels.

During the meeting they addressed topical issues on the bilateral agenda aimed at further expanding partnership and cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the European Union, as well as the signing of the framework agreement.

The parties agreed to continue close joint work to increase practical cooperation in order to elevate the level of cooperation in the field of trade, "green economy", digitalization, migration, education and innovation. They also discussed measures to ease the conditions for employment of citizens of Kyrgyzstan in the EU countries, as well as issues of visa facilitation.

The parties welcomed the progressive development of Kyrgyz-European relations and compared notes on the organization of mutual visits.

The heads of the Kyrgyz and EU diplomacy also exchanged views on the international and regional agenda, including security issues.
