On November 11, 2022, the Embassy took part in a tree planting ceremony dedicated to the National Afforestation Day in the Republic of Türkiye.

The tree planting ceremony was held at the same time in all member countries of the Organization of Turkic States. The Heads of the States Parties of the Organization planted saplings on Registan Square in Samarkand.

This event in Türkiye was attended by Vice President of the Republic of Türkiye Fuat Oktay, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry of the Republic of Türkiye Vahit Kirişçi, Ambassadors of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Hungary and Tajikistan, as well as representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan.

For reference: Since 2019, in the Republic of Türkiye on November 11, the National Afforestation Day is celebrated annually.
