The Head of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Zhaparov received the Ambassador of Japan to the Kyrgyz Republic Maeda Shigeki on the occasion of the completion of his diplomatic mission

Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Zhaparov received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Kyrgyz Republic Maeda Shigeki on the occasion of the completion of his diplomatic mission in the country.
During the meeting, the sides discussed topical issues of Kyrgyz-Japanese cooperation and interaction. In particular, the issues of the implementation of the project "One village – one product" in the regions of the republic, cooperation in the fields of IT and the mining industry were discussed.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan Maeda Shigeki thanked the Kyrgyz side for fruitful cooperation and expressed commitment to further support the republic in its development.
The Ambassador noted that Kyrgyz honey exported to Japan has reached a leading position in terms of supplies and its popularity is growing. He also mentioned that in order to promote investments in the Kyrgyz Republic by Japanese IT companies and the development of IT business between the Kyrgyz Republic and Japan, the Japanese Organization for the Development of Foreign Trade (JETRO) organizes seminars that will be held from October 25 to November 3 this year in the Japanese cities of Tokyo, Osaka, Fukuoka and Nagoya. A series of meetings and seminars are planned between experts of the IT industry of the Kyrgyz Republic and representatives of the IT business of Japan in the cities of Tokyo, Osaka, Fukuoka and Nagoya.
The Head of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Zhaparov noted the importance of the effective implementation of the project "One village – one product" in the regions of the country with the involvement of specialists from Japan and increasing the volume of exports of Kyrgyz products. He also expressed interest in increasing cooperation with Japanese IT companies and opening their representative offices in the republic.
The sides expressed readiness to further strengthen and deepen bilateral cooperation in trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
