On August 25, 2020, the Central Commission for Elections and Referendums of the Kyrgyz Republic heard information from the Working Group on Acceptance of Documents of Political Parties in the Elections of Deputies to the Jogorku Kenesh.
According to article 61 of the constitutional Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On elections of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic and deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic", for registration of the list of candidates, authorized representatives of political parties no later than 40 calendar days before election day, by 18:00 local time, submit to the Central Electoral commission the following documents:
- decision of a political party to nominate a list of candidates, certified by the signature of the head of the political party and the seal of the political party;
- filled out by each candidate included in the list of candidates, special forms of information about the candidate with biographical and other data, a copy of the passport, a certificate from the place of work or study, information about the lack of citizenship of another state, a criminal record, written consent to the processing of personal data for the presence or lack of citizenship of a foreign state (including previous citizenship, other citizenship);
- a document certifying the payment of an electoral deposit.
As part of the requirements of the constitutional law, political parties submitted the relevant documents to the Central Commission for Elections and Referenda of the Kyrgyz Republic on August 24 by 18:00.
The Central Commission for Elections and Referenda of the Kyrgyz Republic, within 10 calendar days from the date of adoption of the documents, verifies the compliance of the procedure for nominating lists of candidates with the requirements of the constitutional law and registers the list of candidates, or makes a reasoned decision to refuse registration. The specified check is carried out, among other things, using the system of electronic interdepartmental interaction, approved by law.
