On September 3, 2021, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Azerbaijan Kairat Osmonaliev met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov on the occasion of the presentation of a copy of his Credentials.
The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan congratulated the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan on the beginning of the diplomatic mission in the Republic of Azerbaijan and expressed confidence that with the restoration of the level of the diplomatic mission of the Kyrgyz Republic at the level of the Ambassador, bilateral relations will enter a qualitatively new stage.
Ambassador Kairat Osmonaliev discussed the preparation of the reciprocal official visit of Minister Jeyhun Bayramov to Kyrgyzstan and proposed practical measures to implement the agreements reached at the level of Heads of state to establish strategic partnership and create an interregional platform "Central Asia - South Caucasus" (5 + 3).
During the meeting, the parties discussed plans for the exchange of high-level visits, priority projects for the implementation of investment projects, the restoration of the direct flight "Bishkek-Baku", the revitalization of the Intergovernmental Commission, the expansion of interregional ties, the perpetuation of the name of Chingiz Aitmatov in the city of Baku, etc.
