Ambassador Aidit Erkin participated in the Energy Roundtable discussion on "Priority areas for investment and business cooperation with the EU"

On 2 July 2024, Ambassador A. Erkin participated in the interactive discussion of the Energy Roundtable on "Priority areas for investment and business cooperation with the EU after the European elections".

The interactive discussion was organised by the Brussels Energy Club. The event was attended by representatives of analytical and expert communities, international structures, as well as diplomatic corps, including embassies of Central Asian states. During the interactive discussion, the participants exchanged views on a wide range of issues related to the Central Asian energy sector, transition to renewable energy sources, development of intra-regional co-operation and partnership with other key players in the global energy market, including the European Union.

In turn, Ambassador A. Erkin, outlining the challenges and prospects of the energy sector of Kyrgyzstan, emphasised the importance of attracting not only financial investments, but also advanced, environmentally friendly technologies to develop and strengthen the potential of the energy infrastructure of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Central Asian region as a whole.
