Министр иностранных дел Руслан Казакбаев провел встречу с Министром иностранных и европейских дел Великого Герцогства Люксембург Жаном Ассельборном

December 2, 2021,  Ruslan Kazakbaev, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic met with  Ben Knapen, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands on the sidelines of the OSCE Ministerial Council in Stockholm.

On the eve of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, the parties discussed their mutual disposition to intensify bilateral cooperation. In this regard, they agreed to maintain a political dialogue at the highest level with the organization of visits of official delegations in 2022, as well as reinforce friendly relations with business ties through the exchange of business missions. In this context, the Foreign Minister of Luxembourg accepted an invitation to visit Kyrgyzstan in the first half of 2022. The parties also planned a number of joint cultural events to mark the anniversary.

Minister R. Kazakbaev submitted to the Luxembourg side the proposals of the Kyrgyz side to intensify bilateral relations in the medium term, including on expanding the bilateral legal framework in the field of encouraging and protecting investments, healthcare, agriculture, environment, communications and information technologies, education and science, culture, tourism and sports. The Kyrgyz side also offered to establish twinning relations between the Kyrgyz village of Luxemburg and one of the municipalities of the Grand Duchy of Luxembоurg. The proposals were positively accepted.

The parties discussed issues of the regional and international agenda and interaction within the framework of international organizations.
