The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic H.E. Mr. Aibek Artykbaev met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan H.E. Mr. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari

On August 18, 2022, within the framework of 2nd political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan H.E. Mr. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic H.E. Mr. Aibek Artykbaev.

During the meeting, the parties discussed current issues and promising directions of Kyrgyz-Pakistani cooperation, including the increase of bilateral trade and investments, the implementation of joint initiatives in various directions, including the energy project "CASA-1000". Besides this, parties also discussed the issues of the regional and international agenda, including the situation in Afghanistan.

The Deputy minister A. Artykbaev, expressing gratitude to the Pakistani side for the warm reception and organization of political consultations at a high level, noted the importance of organizing mutual visits at the highest and highest levels, as well as holding in this year the 4th meeting of the Kyrgyz-Pakistani intergovernmental commission on trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian cooperation.

A. Artykbaev separately touched upon the important role of such consultations regarding the discussion of the actual issues of mutual interest.

From his side, B. Bhutto Zardari, indicating that the Central Asian region is one of the most important priorities for Pakistan, announced his readiness to conduct active joint work with the Kyrgyz side, aimed at comprehensive development of mutual relations with Kyrgyzstan.
