Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Mr. Azizbek Madmarov met with the Members of the International Observer Mission of the Organization of Turkic States, headed by the Deputy Secretary General Mr. Gismat Gozalov, who arrived in Bishkek to observe the parliamentary elections of the Kyrgyz Republic

November 27, 2021 Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Mr. Azizbek Madmarov met with the Members of the International Observer Mission of the Organization of Turkic States, headed by the Deputy Secretary General Mr. Gismat Gozalov, who arrived in Bishkek to observe the parliamentary elections of the Kyrgyz Republic.

During the Meeting, Mr. Azizbek Madmarov expressed his gratitude to the Organization of Turkic States for traditionally active participation in monitoring elections of Kyrgyzstan. He highly appreciated the Organization's support for constitutional reforms in the country and the further democratic development of Kyrgyzstan.

International observers were informed about the specifics of the upcoming parliamentary elections, measures of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic to ensure transparent, fair and credible elections, 59 polling stations formed abroad, efforts being made in diplomatic and consular missions of the Kyrgyz Republic to expand the electoral opportunities of citizens of Kyrgyzstan, and compliance with epidemiological measures. It is noted that to date, the number of voters outside the Kyrgyz Republic has exceeded 84 thousand Kyrgyz citizens.

At the same time, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic noted the accreditation of 736 international observers from 58 countries, representing 20 international organizations (OSCE, CIS, CSTO, SCO, OTS, TURKPA, EU, etc.), as well as 50 representatives of foreign media to cover the election process.

Head of the Mission Mr. Gismat Gozalov, in his turn, informed about the number of meetings held by international observers of the Mission with the candidates for deputies of the Parliament of the Kyrgyz Republic and expressed his satisfaction with the large number of young people among the candidates.

The Members of the Mission positively assessed the work carried out by the Ministry to create favorable conditions for the implementation of the electoral rights of the Kyrgyz citizens residing or located outside the country.

The Deputy Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States noted that Kyrgyzstan is an integral part of the Turkic world, the active Member State of the Organization and makes a worthy contribution to the development of Turkic integration.

The Mission of International Observers of the Organization of Turkic States expressed hope that the upcoming elections will make a significant contribution to the further development of Kyrgyzstan as a democratic country and contribute to all-round progress.
