On May 13, 2024, regular Kyrgyz-Italian inter-ministerial consultations were held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic. The Kyrgyz side was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Aibek Moldogaziev, and the Italian side was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Deputy of the lower house of the Italian Parliament Edmondo Cirielli.

During the political consultations, topical issues of the bilateral agenda were discussed, in particular, the expansion of political dialogue through the organization of high-level visits, the development of trade, economic and cultural cooperation, as well as cooperation within the framework of the United Nations and the EU.

Special attention was paid to the economic and investment potential of Kyrgyzstan in the field of energy, tourism and light industry. The issues of promising transport and logistics routes across Central Asia, connecting East and West, were also considered.

In addition, the parties discussed regional cooperation, the consular sphere and the expansion of the legal framework.

The final item on the agenda was an exchange of views on topical issues on the international agenda.
