On March 16-18, 2023, in Bishkek, with objective to promote economic diplomacy and with the assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, the 4th Kyrgyz-Pakistan Trade & Investment Forum was held.

The event, organized with the assistance of the USAID project "Pakistan Regional Economic Integration Activity", the Commerce & Industry Chamber of Kyrgyzstan and the governments of the two countries, was attended by representatives of more than 100 Kyrgyz and Pakistani companies in the field of trade, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, food production, construction , mechanical engineering, chemical industry, logistics, tourism, etc.

Welcoming speeches were delivered by the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Pakistan H.E. Mr. U.Totuiaev, the Director of the National Agency on under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic H.E. Mr. U.Temiraliev, the President of the Commerce & Industry Chamber of the Kyrgyz Republic Mr. T.Sariev, the President of the Kyrgyz Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Mr. D.Ibraev, the Director of the USAID Mission in Kyrgyzstan Ms. K.Adams, the Head of the USAID project “Pakistan Regional Economic Integration Activity” Ms. H.B.Burki and the Director of the department of services and e-commerce of the Ministy of Commerce of Pakistan Mr. M.S.Khan.

A thorough exchange of views took place between the forum participants on the issues of expanding trade and economic activities, investments and establishing efficient logistics routes.

On the sidelines of the event, B2B and B2G meetings were held between representatives of the two countries, within which agreements were reached on further mutually beneficial cooperation in many different areas.

Within the framework of the forum, a Memorandum on the creation of an electronic trading platform was signed between the Kyrgyz Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and the “Global Business Alliance” company, as well as a Memorandum of Understanding and a commercial contract between “Neman-Pharm” and “Hiranis” companies.

The Pakistani business delegation was also received by the Deputy Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic H.E. Mr. B.Torobaev, who noted the interest of Kyrgyzstan in expanding all-round ties with the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, including trade and economic cooperation, spoke about the main priorities of the Kyrgyz Republic in the socio-economic development of our country and invited Pakistani investors to implementation of various investment projects announced by the Kyrgyz side.

In addition, members of the Pakistani delegation held bilateral meetings with the Deputy Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic H.E. Mr. U.Sadykov, the President of the Kyrgyz Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Mr. D.Ibraev, the Vice-president of the “Kyrgyzindustry” JSC on industry spheres Mr.J.Sagynbaev, and also got acquainted with the activities of the Free Economic Zone “Bishkek”, the market "Dordoi" and the pipe-slate enterprise "Kant TSP".
