The Honorary Consulate of the Kyrgyz Republic opened in Kathmandu

On May 15, 2024, the opening ceremony of the Honorary Consulate of the Kyrgyz Republic took place in Kathmandu, Nepal.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Nepal Mr. Askar Beshimov, representatives of the diplomatic corps and business community of the Nepal.

At the gala event, Ambassador Mr.Askar Beshimov introduced the Honorary Consul of the Kyrgyz Republic Mr.Ramesh Sharma, the head of one of Nepal’s largest companies in the construction sector “Sharma and Company Pvt.Ltd.”, presented a consular patent and congratulated him on the opening of the office.

In his speech, Ambassador Mr. Askar Beshimov noted the high importance of the work of the Kyrgyz consulate for strengthening diplomatic ties between the two countries, expanding economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation, as well as providing comprehensive support to compatriots living in Nepal.

In turn, Honorary Consul of the Kyrgyz Republic Mr.Ramesh Sharma noted that this event will give further impetus to the development and expansion of Kyrgyz-Nepalese cooperation and its activities will be aimed at actively attracting investments, developing tourism ties, cultural exchange and protecting the rights and interests of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic.

On the same day, a reception was held at the Dusit Princess hotel complex on the occasion of the opening of the Honorary Consulate of the Kyrgyz Republic in Kathmandu with the participation of the Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nepal Mr.Narayan Kaji Shrestha, Minister of Urban Development of Nepal Mr.Dhanu Buda and a number of members of Parliament countries.
