On February 2, 2024, a meeting was held between the Head of the Plenipotentiary Representation of the MFA of the Kyrgyz Republic in Osh, Jalal-Abad and Batken regions, M.Apyshov and the Consul General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Osh, Z. Akhmedov.

During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on topical issues of further strengthening interregional and cross-border cooperation between the southern regions of Kyrgyzstan and the Fergana, Namangan and Andijan regions of Uzbekistan. 

In particular, issues of attracting investment, developing tourism and increasing trade turnover between these regions were discussed, including issues regarding the implementation of the road map between Osh and Andijan, Jalal-Abad and Namangan, Batken and Fergana regions.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to hold business and tourism forums with the participation of entrepreneurs from the border regions of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
