On April 30, 2024, in Erfurt, a meeting was held between the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Federal Republic of Germany Omurbek Tekebaev and the Chief Executive Officer of the Erfurt Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Federal State of Thuringia Cornelia Haase-Lerch.

Ambassador O.Tekebaev reported on the work being done to strengthen economic cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Thuringia, as well as in the field of three-year vocational training for young Kyrgyzstanis in Thuringia.

Chief Executive Officer Cornelia Haase-Lerch reported on the great potential for cooperation in the field of training qualified personnel from Kyrgyzstan in Thuringia in various specialties and their further employment in Germany.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues following the visit of a delegation from Thuringia led by the President of the Erfurt Chamber of Commerce and Industry Dieter Bauhaus to Kyrgyzstan, which took place in April of this year. and outlined plans for further cooperation in order to strengthen economic ties and train qualified personnel from Kyrgyzstan in Thuringia.
