On March 20, 2024, the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the United States and Canada, B. Amanbaev, met with the speaker of the Navajo tribe, ancient inhabitants of the American continent, Kristalin Kerley, and the Navajo Nation Ambassador to Washington, Justin Ahasteen.

        During the meeting, avenues for advancing scientific research into the cultural, historical, linguistic, and anthropological similarities between ancient Native Americans and Kyrgyz people were discussed, as well as ways to enhance future cooperation between the United States and Kyrgyzstan in this area.

      In his speech, Bakyt Amanbaev noted that over the past two years, several Kyrgyz historians and linguists have been researching the similarities and commonalities between the Kyrgyz people and Native Americans, and presented some results of this research. He then emphasized that the successful completion of this research would make a significant contribution to improving cooperation between the United States and Kyrgyzstan and presented a plan of action that would be jointly implemented in the future in this direction.

      The American side fully supported Ambassador Bakyt Amanbaev's proposals and expressed their thoughts on enhancing cooperation in the future. As a result, the parties agreed to work together in the near future and in the long term.
