Passport

For citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic who have not reached the age of 18, the following documents are required for the initial registration/exchange of a general civil (foreign) passport of the Kyrgyz Republic:
• Child's birth certificate (original+copy);
• Child's passport (original+copy);
• Parents' passports (originals + copy);
• Parents' marriage certificate;
• Documents confirming the legality of stay in the host country.
Note: if one of the parents is a foreign citizen, it is necessary to provide a notarized consent for the child to obtain citizenship of the Kyrgyz Republic and issue a general passport of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Note: if it is not possible to provide the original passport of one of the parents, it is necessary to present a notarized consent for the child to obtain citizenship of the Kyrgyz Republic and issue a general passport of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Note: when changing the personal data of a minor citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic, you must provide the original certificate of change of name.
Note: when submitting documents, the personal presence of the child and one of the parents is required.

For citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic who have reached the age of 18, the following documents are required when exchanging a general civil (foreign) passport of the Kyrgyz Republic (due to expiration/damage to the passport):
• General passport (original and copy);
• Marriage certificate/divorce certificate/death certificate of spouse (original of one of these documents and a copy);
• Documents confirming the legality of stay in the host country.
Note: when changing the personal data of a citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic, you must provide the original certificate of change of name.
Note: if there are errors in citizens’ documents or in databases, the consular officer has the right to request from the applicant the original birth certificate, as well as other documents necessary for the positive consideration of citizens’ requests.

For citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic who have reached the age of 18, the following documents are required when exchanging a general civil (foreign) passport of the Kyrgyz Republic (due to loss/theft):
• Birth certificate (original and copy);
• A copy of the lost general passport of the Kyrgyz Republic;
• a document (protocol, certificate, etc.) issued by the competent authority of Ukraine, confirming the fact of the applicant’s appeal regarding the loss of his passport;
• Marriage certificate/divorce certificate/death certificate of spouse (original of one of these documents and a copy);
• Documents confirming the legality of stay in the host country.
Note: when changing the personal data of a citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic, you must provide the original certificate of change of name.

 IDENTIFICATION CARD-PASSPORT OF CITIZEN OF THE KYRGYZ REPUBLIC
For citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic who have not reached the age of 18, the following documents are required for the initial registration/exchange of an identification card of the Kyrgyz Republic:
• Child's birth certificate (original and copy);
• Passport of a minor citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic (original and copy);
• Parents' passports (originals and copies).
• Documents confirming the legality of stay in the host country.
Note: if one of the parents is a foreign citizen, it is necessary to provide a notarized consent for the child to obtain citizenship of the Kyrgyz Republic and issue an identification card of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Note: if it is not possible to provide the original passport of one of the parents, it is necessary to present a notarized consent for the child to obtain citizenship of the Kyrgyz Republic and issue an identification card of the Kyrgyz Republic.

CERTIFICATE FOR RETURN TO THE KYRGYZ REPUBLIC
If on the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan a citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic has lost his passport / his existing passport has expired or the passport has become unusable due to damage, he may be issued a certificate of return to the Kyrgyz Republic (CVR).
Also, the certificate can be issued to persons under 18 years of age in the absence of a passport.

List of necessary documents for registration and issuance of a certificate:
1. If you lose your passport:
 a copy of a lost passport or identity card of a citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic or birth certificate (or military ID);
 a document (protocol, certificate, etc.) issued by the competent authority of Ukraine (Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova), confirming the fact of the applicant’s appeal regarding the loss of the passport.
Important: if it is impossible to submit the specified documents, confirming the fact of the applicant’s appeal regarding the loss of the passport. the applicant provides a detailed written explanation indicating all the circumstances and reasons for the loss of the passport.
2. If your passport is damaged:
 damaged passport and copy.
3. If your passport expires:
 expired passport and copy.
4. When applying for an applicant under 18 years of age:
 Child’s birth certificate (original);
 Parents’ passports (originals);
 Marriage certificate of parents/certificate of paternity (original);
 Color photo of the child, size 3.5x4.5, on a white background (the presence of the child is not necessary);
 *If one of the parents is a foreign citizen, then it is necessary to provide his notarized consent for the child to acquire citizenship of the Kyrgyz Republic and issue a temporary residence permit.
 Documents confirming the legality of stay in the host country.

The fee for issuing a certificate is $10.

The validity period of the certificate does not exceed 30 (thirty) calendar days from the date of issue.
The certificate is valid only for entry into Kyrgyzstan.

PROCEDURE FOR RECEIVING A ONE-TIME PAYMENT FOR THE COSTS OF REPATRIATING THE BODIES OF CITIZENS OF THE KYRGYZ REPUBLIC WHO DIED ABROAD
I. General information
A one-time payment to cover expenses to close relatives or persons paying the costs of repatriating the bodies of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic who died abroad is made according to the approved amounts:
• on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic by the Department of External Migration under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic in national currency at the rate of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic on the day of payment, by transfer to the current account;
• outside the Kyrgyz Republic by diplomatic missions/consular offices of the Kyrgyz Republic in foreign currency by transfer to a current account, and in case of its absence, in cash.

II. Right to receive a lump sum payment
The right to receive a lump sum payment has a close relative or a person acting on the basis of a notarized power of attorney from a close relative, bearing direct costs associated with the repatriation of the body of a citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic who died abroad (hereinafter referred to as the recipient). The recipient can only be one person.

III. The procedure for the recipient to apply for a one-time payment
An application for a one-time payment must be submitted to the Department of External Migration under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic at the address: Bishkek st. Moskovskaya 194 (telephones for inquiries: 0 (312) 312 724, 0 (312) 312 779 and 0 (312) 312778) or to the diplomatic mission/consular office of the Kyrgyz Republic, where the deceased citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic temporarily or permanently resided according to the approved form, with presentation of a passport no later than six months from the date of death of a citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic.

IV. List of documents
The recipient must submit the following documents:
• application for a one-time payment to cover the costs of repatriating the body of a deceased citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic;
• copy of the recipient's passport;
• copies of documents confirming relationship (marriage certificate, birth certificate);
• a notarized copy of the death certificate or death certificate with a mark of consular legalization or an apostille in the prescribed manner, unless otherwise provided by international treaties to which the Kyrgyz Republic is a party that have entered into force in accordance with the law.

The recipient is responsible for the accuracy of the documents presented in accordance with the Codes of Misconduct and Violations, as well as the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
