By the initiative of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Ukraine on 3^rd October took place an introductory meeting of the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic in Ukraine Zh.Sharipov with the President of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Mr. B.Paton.

During the meeting were discussed issues of further bilateral cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and Ukraine in the development of science and scientific technologies. The Ukrainian side noted the importance of cooperation within the framework of membership in the International Association of Academies of Sciences. A bilateral cooperation agreement was signed between the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic and Ukraine in 2009, the parties expressed their readiness to re-sign this Agreement according to the present time and realities.

The parties expressed mutual interest in deepening and developing the established relations between the National Academies of Science of the Kyrgyz Republic and Ukraine.
