Ambassador Askar Beshimov presented his Credentials to the President of Nepal Mr.Ramchandra Paudel

On May 13, 2024, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic Mr. Askar Beshimov presented his Credentials to the President of Nepal Mr. Ramchandra Paudel.

The ceremony took place at the Presidential Palace in Kathmandu.

At the meeting with the Head of Nepal, Ambassador Askar Beshimov conveyed greetings on behalf of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Mr. Sadyr Zhaparov and emphasized that the Kyrgyz side attaches great importance to the development of relations of friendship and cooperation with Nepal. The Ambassador emphasized that the similarity of approaches on global international problems allows our countries to actively interact on a bilateral basis and in the UN and other multilateral platforms.

Ambassador Askar Beshimov noted the huge potential for cooperation between the two countries and expressed interest in active cooperation both on a bilateral basis and within the framework of international organizations. In addition, to strengthen diplomatic ties and expand comprehensive cooperation in the economic, cultural and humanitarian fields, the Ambassador informed about the opening of the Honorary Consulate of the Kyrgyz Republic in Kathmandu.

As part of the mountain initiatives of the Kyrgyz Republic, Ambassador Askar Beshimov informed about the holding on May 10, 2024 at the UN Headquarters in New York, event for the development of mountain regions and the promotion of mountain forests within the framework of the Five Years of Action Plan for the Development of Mountain Regions, announced by the UN GA Resolution “Sustainable Mountain Development”, adopted at the initiative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sady Zhaparov on December 14, 2022, which was also co-organized by Nepal.

In turn, President of Nepal Ramchandra Paudel congratulated the Ambassador and expressed confidence that his future work will make an active contribution to the development of relations between the two countries for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries.

After the bilateral meeting, Ambassador Askar Beshimov left a memory sign in the Book of Honored Guests of the Presidential Palace of Nepal.
