On September 13, 2021, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the State of Kuwait, Azamat Karagulov, held a meeting with the Director of the Department for Cooperation with the Countries of Central Asia and Europe of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED), Mr. Fawaz Al-Adasani.

During the meeting sides discussed the issues of implementation of the agreements reached during the visit of the KFAED delegation to Kyrgyzstan in July of this year as well as the implementation of the loan agreement on financing the project "Construction and equipment of the Neurosurgical Center of the National Hospital of the Kyrgyz Republic", signed between the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and the KFAED March 11, 2016 in Bishkek.

A. Karagulov, for his part, noted that, as a new ambassador, he is ready to provide all kinds of assistance to the Fund in the successful implementation of projects in the Kyrgyz Republic.

For information:  KFAED currently implements the following infrastructure projects:

- Project for the reconstruction of the Bishkek-Naryn-Torugart highway, km 272-365.

- "Construction and equipment of the Neurosurgical Center of the National Hospital of the Kyrgyz Republic";

- “Reconstruction of the Balykchy-Karakol-Balykchy highway (Issyk-Kul ring road), km 104-220;

- "Development of a feasibility study for the construction of a 220 kV high-voltage line" Tamga-Karakol ".

 

The parties also touched upon other projects financed by the KFAED and exchanged views on further interaction of the Kyrgyz Republic, including within the framework of the Arab Coordination Group.
