On September 20, 2021, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the State of Kuwait, Azamat Karagulov, in the framework of his accreditation, paid a courtesy visit to Sheikh Fawaz Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al Sabah, the Governor of the Al-Ahmadi Governorate, which is an oil-producing, industrial, trade and logistics center of Kuwait.

Sheikh Fawaz Al-Khaled Al Sabah congratulated Ambassador A. Karagulov on taking office, assuring him of readiness to assist in strengthening Kyrgyz-Kuwaiti bilateral relations. During the conversation, the parties exchanged views on establishing ties between the business communities and regions of the two countries, expressing their intention to explore the possibilities of implementing joint projects in the areas in which Al-Ahmadi province specializes.

Ambassador A. Karagulov briefed the Governor of the governorate with the results of the work of the Kyrgyz Embassy in intensifying political contacts and visits at various levels, opening direct flights between capitals and increasing tourist flow from Kuwait and the Gulf countries to Kyrgyzstan, as well as promising plans to intensify bilateral cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.
