On October 7, 2021, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the State of Kuwait, Azamat Karagulov, within the framework of his accreditation, paid a courtesy visit to the head of the Hawally Governorate of Kuwait, Dr. Ali Salim Al-Asfar.

During the meeting, Ambassador A. Karagulov highlighted the current level of Kyrgyz-Kuwaiti bilateral cooperation, its main results and long-term plans of the parties, and also noted the positive feedback from Kuwaiti tourists about Kyrgyzstan.

Governor Ali Al-Asfar shared the history of Hawally as one of the ancient suburbs of Kuwait, which is currently the most populous and dynamically developing administrative center of the country. In this aspect, A. Al-Asfar expressed his readiness for close cooperation with Kyrgyzstan in the field of labor migration, imports of food and goods, tourism, etc.

Along with this, the parties exchanged views on the tasks of assisting in establishing business contacts between the private sectors, noting the positive results of the opening of direct flights between the capitals of the two states in July this year.
