Entry into the Kyrgyz Republic, stay on its territory and departure from the Kyrgyz Republic to foreign citizens is allowed on valid foreign passports and on the basis of visas of the Kyrgyz Republic issued by the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic.

About E-VISA - www.evisa.e-gov.kg

Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan has launched e-Visa portal to facilitate visa issuance process for genuine travellers.

Travelers have possibility to obtain a short-term visa without visiting Embassy or Consular office of the Kyrgyz Republic, following two simple steps: applying and making online payment. Electronic visa application does not require more information than traditional paper application and it grants the same right to enter Kyrgyzstan territory as ordinary sticker-visa in the passport.

Applying for a visa through this portal has lots of advantages. No need to make an appointment or present original documents to the Embassy or Consular Office.

All you need is internet connection, credit or debit card for making payment and scanned copies of your documents.

You can check if you are eligible for e-Visa by going Home Page >>> Information >>> Do I need visa? and selecting your country/region of travel document. Each traveler must obtain a separate e-Visa, including infants and children (even if children/infants are included in their parents’ passports). Your travel document must be valid for at least 6 months from the date you intend to enter Kyrgyzstan.

 Business visa («B») – is issued to an applicant, entering Kyrgyz Republic with business purposes, to participate in negotiations, conferences and meetings, sport events, organized by state offices and local governments, international organizations and legal entities up to 60 days.

Family visa («F») is issued to the family members (spouse, underage children and dependent parents) of a foreign citizen, residing in Kyrgyz Republic with the Official (“О”), Invest (“I”), Employment («W1» и «W2»), Study («S») visa categories, and on the basis of residence permit, for a period up to 1 year with the possibility of annual extension without the right to work.

Guest visa («G») is issued to the applicant for a period of up to 60 days, entering the Kyrgyz Republic for various purposes of private nature, to visit friends and acquaintances or to receive medical services.

 Invest visa («I») is issued to the investor or head of foreign investment company who carry out investment activity in Kyrgyz Republic and submit necessary supporting documents, certifying contribution to the economy of Kyrgyz Republic of the monetary and material values, equivalent to the amount of 10 (ten) million soms, for industrial, agricultural, financial, energy, educational, medical, engineering and constructional purposes, and also IT technologies.

 Mountain tourism visa («MT») is issued to a foreign citizen for visiting the Kyrgyz Republic for the purpose of alpine tourism (alpinism, climbing, snowboarding, rafting, freeriding, etc.).

– USD70 for three months single entry visa.

 Relatives visa («O») for visiting relatives or family reunion is issued for a period of up to 1 year to an applicant entering the Kyrgyz Republic for temporary or permanent residence or obtaining refugee status.

 Religious visa ("R") is issued to a missionary who intends to visit the Kyrgyz Republic through cooperation with religious organizations, subject to a permit issued by the authorized state body for religious Affairs, for a period of up to 60 days.

Official visa («O») is issued to a foreign citizen, bearer of an official passport, intending to visit Kyrgyz Republic with official affairs.

Official visa is issued to:

- a foreign citizen, entering the Kyrgyz Republic by the invitation of state offices of the Kyrgyz Republic with official affairs - visa up to 90 days.

- a member of an administrative-technical and maintenance staff of a diplomatic mission or consular office of foreign county in Kyrgyz Republic or employee of an international organization representation (spouse and children under 18 years of age, and dependent parents), - visa up to 1 year, unless otherwise is provided by an international treaty, that has entered into legal force, the participant of which is the Kyrgyz Republic, or according to the principle of reciprocity;

- a foreign courier carrying diplomatic mail, if he does not have a diplomatic passport – visa up to 90 days, unless otherwise is provided by an international treaty, that has entered into legal force, the participant of which is Kyrgyz Republic, or according to the principle of reciprocity. 

– USD60 for one month single entry visa.

– USD70 for one month multiple entry visa.

– USD70 for three months single entry visa.

– USD90 for three months multiple entry visa.

 Student visa («S») is issued to an applicant, entering Kyrgyz Republic to study, up to 90 days.

– USD60 for one month single entry visa.

– USD70 for one month multiple entry visa.

– USD70 for three months single entry visa.

– USD90 for three months multiple entry visa.

 Student visa («S») on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic can be extended for a period up to 1 year if studying at a higher educational institution or for the duration of a studying course in the initially declared educational institution of Kyrgyz Republic, registered on the territory of Kyrgyz Republic. 

Tourist visa («TS») is issued to an applicant, intending to visit Kyrgyz Republic with purpose of tourism, for a period up to 60 days.

– USD40 for one month single entry visa.

– USD50 for two months single entry visa.

 Transit visa ("TR") is issued to an applicant who is in transit through the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic to third countries for a period of up to 5 days.

– USD25 for five days single entry visa.

 Visa to ethnic Kyrgyz (“M”) is issued for a period of up to 1 year for visiting or returning the Kyrgyz Republic to a foreign citizen - ethnic Kyrgyz, a former citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic or the Kyrgyz SSR for further obtaining “Kairylman” status (an ethnic Kyrgyz who has returned to his or her ethnic motherland from abroad).

– USD60 for one month single entry visa.

– USD70 for one month multiple entry visa.

– USD70 for three months single entry visa.

– USD90 for three months multiple entry visa.

 Employment visa («W1») is issued to an applicant for getting a work permit or for individual entrepreneurship. This type of visa lets applicant enter Kyrgyz Republic up to 60 days without permission to work and individual entrepreneurship.

– USD60 for one month single entry visa.

– USD70 for one month multiple entry visa.

– USD70 for three months single entry visa.

– USD90 for three months multiple entry visa.

After getting work permit, Consular service or Ministry of foreign affairs representation on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic issues applicant multiple employment visa («W1») for the validity period of the work permit. 

 Employment visa («W2») is issued to applicants, for whom, in accordance with the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic “On External Labor Migration” there is a different procedure of performing labor activity, without getting work permit, up to 90 days.

– USD60 for one month single entry visa.

Employment visa («W2») can be extended annually on the territory of Kyrgyz Republic by Consular service or Ministry of foreign affairs representation on the territory of Kyrgyz Republic on the basis of the certificate of an authorized state office in the field of migration or accreditation (for journalists and correspondents).

 Diplomatic visa («D») is issued to a foreign citizen, holder of the diplomatic passport, intending to visit Kyrgyz Republic with official affairs.

Diplomatic visa is issued to:

- heads of foreign states, governments, family members, accompanying them, and to the members of foreign official delegations – visa up to 30 days, unless otherwise is provided by an international treaty, that has entered into legal force, the participant of which is Kyrgyz Republic, or according to the principle of reciprocity.

- person, holding diplomatic or consular position in a diplomatic mission or consular office of foreign country, executive of an international organization representation in Kyrgyz Republic, enjoying immunities and privileges in Kyrgyz Republic, and his/her family members (spouse and children under 18 years of age, and dependent parents), enjoying immunities and privileges, - visa up to 1 year, unless otherwise is provided by an international treaty, that has entered into legal force, the participant of which is Kyrgyz Republic, or according to the principle of reciprocity.

- foreign diplomatic courier – visa up to 90 days, unless otherwise is provided by an international treaty, that has entered into legal force, the participant of which is Kyrgyz Republic, or according to the principle of reciprocity. 

 General list of required documents for obtaining any type of visas:

1. Completed Visa Application Form.

2. A 3*4 inch photo, which must be attached to the completed application form.

3. A valid travel document (along with one copy of the main page) that has at least one unused page for the visa sticker. Your travel document must be valid for at least 6 months after your visa expires.

4. Consular fees are only accepted as a bank transfer to the Embassy account.

5. Additional package of documents (depending on the visa category). You can find the list of required documents on the E-Visa website www.evisa.e-gov.kg.

The period of application review by the Consular Section of the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan to Hungary is 7 working days. Urgent visas are issued within 3 working days, with a double consular fee.
