President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov had a telephone conversation with the Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban on the 5 April, 2022 .

The current directions and prospects of the Kyrgyz-Hungarian bilateral relations were discussed.

Sadyr Japarov congratulated Viktor Orban, the leader of Fidesz political party on decisive victory at  parliamentary elections of 3rd April, 2022,  and wished him great success.

During the conversation, President Sadyr Japarov was pleased to note that the two countries have an upcoming anniversary celebration - the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The President has also expressed his appreciation to the current Kyrgyz-Hungarian relations.

He stressed the importance of strengthening of the strategic partnership between Kyrgyzstan and Hungary.

In turn, Viktor Orban thanked Sadyr Japarov for the congratulations and expressed willingness to deepen Kyrgyz-Hungarian relations both in a bilateral format and within the framework of multilateral cooperation.

During the conversation, special attention was paid to the issue of strengthening the cooperation within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States.

The parties confirmed their mutual interest in continuing systematic work to intensify bilateral cooperation in trade and economic, transport and logistics,  and investment spheres.
