On October 29, 2022, in Budapest, the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Hungary organized the first football tournament among representatives of the Kyrgyz diaspora. This annual tournament was organized on the occasion of the 1st anniversary of the opening of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Budapest and the establishment of the Challenge Cup of the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic in Hungary.

In total, 8 teams took part in this football tournament. Tournament participants from among representatives of the Kyrgyz diaspora arrived from various cities of Hungary.

         H.E. Mr. Talantbek Kushchubekov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Hungary, congratulated the participants and all those present at the tournament on the first anniversary of the opening of the Embassy and noted the importance of holding such events, which contributes to fostering a patriotic spirit and unity among the representatives of the Kyrgyz diaspora in Hungary. Following the results of the tournament, Ambassador T. Kushchubekov awarded the winners with medals and certificates. “Papa FC” team became the winner of the football tournament and, accordingly, the first holder of the Challenge Cup of the Ambassador.

         About 150 people took part in the festive event. The guests were offered treats from Kyrgyz national dishes. The event was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
