On November 21, 2022, H.E. Mr. Talantbek Kushchubekov, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Hungary, met with H.E. Ms. Katalin Bihari, the Deputy State Secretary for External Economic Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation in the economic sphere, which are developing progressively in the spirit of strategic partnership. In particular, the parties positively noted the results of joint work on holding the Kyrgyz-Hungarian business forum, launching the activities of the Hungarian-Kyrgyz Development Fund and, in particular, the possibility of financing the construction of a hydroelectric power plant in the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as supplies of high-bred cows with a total investment of over 24 million USD.

H.E. Ms. Katalin Bihari expressed the readiness of the Hungarian side to further implement joint plans for economic cooperation between the two countries on a mutually beneficial basis in the traditional spirit of the Kyrgyz-Hungarian strategic partnership.
