Kyrgyz Ambassador to Switzerland Omar Sultanov met with the Managing Director of the Swiss Joint Chamber of Commerce (JCC) Dorit Sallis on 6 February 2024 in Switzerland.

 

There was a thorough exchange of views on the prospects of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries. As a result of the meeting, the parties outlined further joint activities to deepen economic ties between Kyrgyzstan and Switzerland.

 

Involvement of the Kyrgyz side in the activities of the JCC has significantly increased Swiss companies' interest in Kyrgyzstan in recent years. For example, Bartholet Maschinenbau is actively discussing the construction of cable cars in Kyrgyzstan. Negotiations are also underway with Schwihag AG for its involvement in railway development projects.
