On March 13, 2024, a meeting of the Ambassadors of the Central Asian (CA) States and the UN Resident Coordinators in Central Asia took place in Geneva.

During the meeting, positive dynamics in increasing coordination and interaction at the regional level, in particular, thanks to the annual Consultative Meetings of the Heads of State of Central Asia, were noted.

The importance of consolidated efforts at the Geneva platform was emphasized. Last year, the countries of the region jointly initiated a resolution at the UN Human Rights Council and worked on holding the SPECA Summit of Heads of State in Baku.

In the context of global challenges, in particular climate change issues, Ambassador O. Sultanov emphasized the importance of joint coordinated actions of the countries of the region to promote mountain issues and glacier melting problems on the international agenda.
