On April 23, 2024, under the chairmanship of the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan Omar Sultanov, the Conference “United in Heritage, Forward in Action: Turkic Cooperation Organizations” was held at the Palace des Nations within the framework of the “Turkic Week in Geneva”.

The main panelists of the event were the heads of Turkic cooperation organizations: Sultan Raev, Secretary General of TURKSOY, Shahin Mustafayev, President of the Turkic Academy, Aktoty Raimkulova, President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation (TCHF), Kadir Yaman, Secretary of the TURKPA Commission (Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States) on Legal Affairs and International Relations and Omer Kocaman, Deputy Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States.

During the Conference, participants discussed the opportunities and prospects for joint coordination of Turkic States on a wide range of issues: from close interaction in the fields of science, education and culture to cooperation between legislative institutions on legal issues. Special emphasis was placed on currently implemented and planned Turkic international initiatives.

The event received considerable attention from the guests, including ambassadors, representatives of the diplomatic corps, heads of international organizations, as well as representatives of the Swiss authorities.

At the end of the conference, the Gala Concert of TURKSOY was held in Geneva with the participation of artists from all Turkic States, followed by a joint diplomatic reception on behalf of the Organization of Turkic States and the diplomatic missions of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye and Uzbekistan.
