Legalization of documents

Legalization of Italian documents for use in Kyrgyzstan

On August 1, 2011, the Kyrgyz Republic joined the Hague Convention of 1961, which abolishes the requirement of legalization of foreign official documents that are parties to this Convention.

From the moment of joining this Convention, Italian documents, apostilled by the relevant Italian official bodies, are recognized on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic without additional certification at the Embassy, since Italy is also a party to the above Convention.

If you need to legalize an Italian document for use in Kyrgyzstan, you need to contact the local office where the document was issued for the Apostille procedure.
