On February 15, 2024, the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Italy, Taalai Bazarbaev, held a working meeting with the Plenipotentiary Minister, diplomatic advisor of the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy of Italy, Michele Cecchi.

During the meeting, Ambassador T. Bazarbaev discussed with the interlocutor the issues of social security for citizens of Kyrgyzstan, who are engaged in labor activities in Italy. The parties agreed to actively assist the competent authorities of the two states to cooperate in the field of social insurance and pension provision.

At the same time, there was an exchange of opinions on the issue of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Italy in the field of migration, including the employment of citizens of Kyrgyzstan in accordance with the Italian legislation.

Plenipotentiary Minister M. Cecchi expressed his satisfaction with the active development of bilateral cooperation in the field of migration, as well as his readiness to support the implementation of an effective policy in the field of labor migration from Kyrgyzstan to Italy.
