On February 23, 2024, Ambassador Taalai Bazarbaev had a meeting with Matteo Zoppas, the President of the Italian Trade and Investment Agency “ITA” in the building of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Italian Republic.

During the meeting the prospects for bilateral cooperation in trade, economic and investment areas were discussed.

Ambassador T. Bazarbaev presented to the attention of President M. Zoppas promising projects for cooperation in the field of light industry, renewable energy sources, agriculture, as well as the production and export of bottled water in the Kyrgyz Republic.

At the same time, he proposed him to lead an Italian business mission and visit the Kyrgyz Republic in 2024 to participate in the upcoming major exhibition events and also hold meetings with the leadership of government agencies and potential economic partners.

President M. Zoppas noted with satisfaction the active interaction of the ITA Agency with the Kyrgyz side and expressed his readiness to promote the maximum development of business contacts between entrepreneurs of two countries.

The parties agreed on further close cooperation to implement the discussed cooperation plans.
