On March 21, 2024, in the historical city of Konya, the Republic of Türkiye, citizens and students of the Kyrgyz Republic in Konya, with the assistance of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Republic of Türkiye, organized the event “Kyrgyzstandy taanytuu” (Acquaintance with Kyrgyzstan).

At the concert hall of Selcuk University, the audience was presented with a large concert program, and an exhibition of national handicrafts and applied arts was organized, including leather, felt and wool products.

The concert was dedicated to expanding cultural ties and strengthening friendship between the peoples of the states celebrating «Nooruz». Also during the concert, videos on the tourism potential of the Kyrgyz Republic were presented.

The event was attended by the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Türkiye Ruslan Kazakbaev, the management of Selcuk University, citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as citizens and guests of the city of Konya. Speaking at the event, Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev congratulated everyone present on the spring holiday «Nooruz» on behalf of the leadership of the Kyrgyz Republic, and also wished them good health, prosperity and well-being.

After the concert, a separate meeting of the Ambassador with citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic living in the city of Konya took place. At the meeting, the Ambassador warmly congratulated his compatriots on the Nooruz holiday and informed about the reforms being carried out in the country aimed at developing the economy and improving the well-being of the people of Kyrgyzstan, as well as about the current state of Kyrgyz-Turkish relations and the work of the Embassy to develop them.

The Ambassador answered questions from citizens and thanked them for their active support of the Embassy’s activities, as well as their civic responsibility and contribution to strengthening the friendship of the two fraternal peoples.

After all the events, the Kyrgyz diaspora organized a joint dinner “ooz achar” for participants and spectators.
