The Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Edil Baisalov met with the Acting Minister of Energy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Muhammad Ali.

On November 10, 2023 in Bishkek the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Mr.Edil Baisalov as co-chairman of the kyrgyz-pakistani Inter-governmental commission on trade-economic and scientific-technical cooperation held talks with his vis-a-vis Acting Minister of Energy of Islamic Republic of Pakistan Mr.Muhammad Ali.

         The leaders of the kyrgyz-pakistani Intergovernmental commission discussed the current agenda of bilateral interaction.

         The Deputy Head of the Cabinet of Ministers Mr.Edil Baisalov noted that Kyrgyzstan, being a country without an access to the open sea, is interested in using the potential of Pakistani seaports "Karachi" and "Gwadar", through which there will be the shortest access of the countries of Central Asia and the EAEU, in particular, to the open sea.

         Taking into account the current relevance of cultural and humanitarian interaction, Mr. Edil Baisalov informed about the rapid development of joint training centres, including in medicine, distance learning, law and finance.

         In his turn, the acting Minister of Energy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Mr.Muhammad Ali expressed gratitude for the hospitality and warm reception. He expressed readiness of the pakistani side for active dialogue and practical actions to further deepen bilateral cooperation.

         The meeting was held within the framework of the 4th session of the kyrgyz-pakistani Inter-governmental commission on trade-economic and scientific-technical cooperation.
