On November 16, 2023, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan H.E. Mr. Ulanbek Totuiaev took part in a round table on the topic: “Post SCO Council of Heads of Government Meeting. Outcomes, challenges and opportunities”, organized by the Institute of Peace and Diplomatic Studies (Islamabad) together with the Riphah Institute of Public Policy.

The event was attended by the Ambassadors of the Philippines and Azerbaijan to Pakistan, representatives of various diplomatic missions, as well as scientists and public figures from Islamabad. During the event, speeches were made by Ambassador U.Totuiaev, President of the Institute of Peace and Diplomatic Studies F.Asif, Head of the Department of Social Sciences of the SZABIST University T.Waheed, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of the MY University M.Munir and Director of the Riphah Institute of Public Policy R.Aftab.

In his speech, U.Totuiaev spoke about the main goals and objectives of Kyrgyzstan’s participation in the SCO, among which one of the main ones is strengthening regional integration, as well as the comprehensive development of cooperation in the fields of technology, education, culture and tourism. Noting the successful holding of the SCO CHG Meeting in October, 2023 in Bishkek, he outlined the commitment of the kyrgyz side to further active work within the framework of this integration association.

As a result, the participants emphasized the importance of holding such round tables and forums to exchange views on the current state and prospects for interaction within regional organizations.
