On February 6, 2024, in Islamabad, a meeting was held between the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan H.E. Mr.Ulanbek Asankulovich Totuiaev with the President of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Mr. Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari and honourable members of the Chamber

During the meeting, the parties discussed about holding the joint exhibitions and fairs, as well as other events aimed at developing trade - economic cooperation and establishing direct business contacts between two countries.

Ambassador H.E. Mr.U.A.Totuiaev provided detailed information about the economic opportunities of Kyrgyzstan, as well as the most promising investment projects. Emphasized on the existing potential for interaction in various fields, including the agricultural, tourism, textile and pharmaceutical industries. Noted the state housing construction programs implemented in the country, such as “My House 2021- 2026”. Invited the leadership and honourable members of the Chamber to visit Kyrgyzstan in order to establish business ties.

The parties discussed on further directions for the development of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan.

Following the meeting, both sides agreed to organize a visit of a delegation of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry to the Kyrgyz Republic during the first half of 2024.
