On 10 March 2024, the opening ceremony of the Honorary Consulate of the Kyrgyz Republic was held in the city of Lahore, Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

During the ceremony, the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic H.E. Mr.U.A.Totuiaev, congratulated Mr.K.Y.Meher on his official appointment as Honorary Consul of the Kyrgyz Republic in Lahore and opening of the office. H.E. Mr.U.A.Totuiaev solemnly handed over the letter of exequatur issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan authorizing K.Y.Meher to perform the relevant functions as Honorary Consul.

In his speech, Ambassador H.E. Mr. U.A.Totuiaev noted that the opening of the Honorary Consulate is an important event in the development of bilateral relations, which will make a significant contribution for improving the level of bilateral trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian relations, and will contribute to the protection of the rights and interests of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic.

 In turn, Honorary Consul K.Y.Meher thanked for the trust and emphasized that he will make all efforts to ensure the legitimate rights and interests of the citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic and to expand economic cooperation, investment, tourism development and cultural exchange.
