The Permanent Representative of the Kyrgyz Republic to the UN in New York, Aida Kasymalieva, took part in the meeting of the Dialogue of Women in Central Asia

On April 12, 2022, the Permanent Representative of the Kyrgyz Republic to the UN in New York, Aida Kasymalieva, took part in the meeting of the Dialogue of Women in Central Asia.

The Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Central Asia and Head of the United Nations Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia Natalia Gherman, UN Women Regional Director for Europe and Central Asia Aliya El-Yasir, and other representatives of governments and parliaments of the Central Asian states attended this event.

In her speech, Aida Kasymalieva noted that in a short time since the creation of the Dialogue in 2020, it has declared itself as a conductor of the principles of gender equality by providing an effective platform for various groups of women in Central Asia. She expressed confidence that the Dialogue will turn into an effective platform for the exchange of views and experience, the best world practice in empowering women, increasing their participation in the political, socio-economic, cultural, and humanitarian life of society.

At the end of the meeting, the Action Plan for 2022, which provides for numerous activities for a regional partnership aimed at promoting the "women" agenda and achieving progress in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals in Central Asia was adopted.
